Every mother and baby each have their own individual and unique needs.  Shoshanna will make each visit tailored to yours and your baby’s.  Each home visit begins with a brief medical history, discussion of your pregnancy and labor experience.  We will then discuss your concerns, needs and goals regarding breastfeeding. 

A home visit generally takes between 1-2 hours.  In that time Shoshanna will observe a full feed and if you are pumping, a pumping session as well.  Latch, positioning, comfort, and ease will all be observed.  After discussing observations and concerns, an individual care plan for you and your infant will be created.  Additionally, for the next 3-5 days Shoshanna will schedule daily phone calls to check both mom and baby’s status and success regarding the plan created.
